The Section 375 of Indian Constitution is byzantine because even if the consent is given by the woman but after that if she changes her mind by saying that she was threatened, manipulated, scared etc. then the man is given a tag of rapist even before any conviction and conclusive evidence by the prosecution and by the society. This is a grave mistake which a man commits only for the sake of dozen minutes enjoyment. Man remembers only this act throughout his life in interrogation and jail which he thought was a spellbound action. The citizens of India especially the males should keep in their heed that they should not get overwhelmed by their hormones because you will never ever know and understand whether your partner is veracious or a smirking individual. The woman of India should not use this Section 375 for the sake of revenge, fame, personal & professional enmity etc. because the odds are always, we can also say definitely in the favor of the prosecution. The judges who handle this case of rape and sexual assault should not forget that a man’s reputation is his whole and soul for his professional and personal life. There is no question of doubt against the torture which a woman goes through in rape (sexual assault) but at the same time the women should be professional in their work and field and also, they need to be sturdy in their defense if the things turn out to be ugly. The Indian Constitution of India states that all the citizens of the country are equal before the law then why there is discrimination between two citizens on the basis of emotional trauma?
