For South Africa

South Africa won the ODI Series against Pakistan by a margin of 3-2. South Africa went through all the ups and downs in this ODI Series and they won the ODI Series from the jaws of defeat. South Africa’s skipper Faf Du Plessis had a moderate series with the bat as he scored only 155 runs which included 2 half centuries. The positives for South Africa in this ODI Series was that they have found a terrific middle order who are eager to score runs at a good strike rate too.

In the bowling department of South Africa Andile Phelukwayo was the leading wicket taker in this ODI Series as he took 8 wickets and he was well accompanied by the lethal fast bowler Kagiso Rabada as he took 5 wickets. Each and every bowler of South Africa contributed to the team’s success and this was the difference between the two teams. Whenever South Africa found them in a spot of bother someone stood up and took the responsibility of finishing the game for the team.

For Pakistan

Paksitan lost the ODI Series against South Africa by a margin of 2-3. Pakistan lost the ODI Series because they weren’t able to win the key moments of the game. Imam ul Haq was the leading run scorer of the ODI Series as he scored 271 runs which included 1 century and 2 half centuries and he was the pillar of Pakistan’s opening partnership and Fakhar Zaman scored 167 runs which included 1 half century. Babar Azam scored 195 runs which included 1 half century and he wasn’t able to finish the games for his team which was seen throughout the ODI Series. In the 3rd ODI Sarfaraz Ahmed the skipper of Pakistan made racial comments on South Arica’s all rounder Anile Phelukwayo due to which Sarfaraz Ahmed was suspended for 4 International matches by the ICC (International cricket Council) and the only concern for Pakistan which was seen in this ODI Series was that they have a fragile middle order.

In the bowling department of Pakistan Shaheen Afridi was the leading wicket taker for Pakistan as he took 6 wickets but he didn’t got any critical support from the experienced Mohammed Aamir. Usman Shinwari and Shadab Khan both these bowlers took 5 wickets. The positive for Pakistan in the bowling department was the rise and the form of the tyro fast bowler Shaheen Afridi; but at the same time the senior bowlers the likes of Mohammed Aamir and Hassan Ali are not picking up wickets.
